"Visual Design Lead"


As a Visual Design Lead, you will be responsible for elevating the visual design standards across the organization. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to develop and implement a comprehensive design system strategy that aligns with our product vision and business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive design system strategy that meets our product vision and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to drive design excellence and standardization.
  • Elevate visual design standards across the organization through strategic design decisions and implementation.
  • Define and create reusable components, patterns, and guidelines that optimize user experience and adhere to accessibility standards.
  • Establish governance processes and standards to ensure the integrity and evolution of the design system over time, with a strong focus on accessibility compliance.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer specializing in design systems, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating and implementing large-scale design systems for complex digital products while ensuring accessibility compliance.
  • Impeccable design taste with a good eye for visual design and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar. Good understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (React) is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, 508) and best practices in digital design. Experience integrating accessibility considerations into design systems.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into scalable design solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across disciplines.
  • Passion for staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices.
