Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coding Professional to join our team. As an AM Medical Coding Specialist, you will be responsible for applying coding and clinical information to understand the payer process of Surgery, APC, and Outpatient.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing inputs and solutions to automatically recognize and extract data from medical documents for proper coding and auditing.
  • Responding promptly to all emails and requirements.
  • Reporting to the manager as appropriate.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results under pressure.
  • Maintaining knowledge of Surgery coding and clinical concepts.

You will work closely with our team to ensure that all coding standards are met, and accurate data is extracted from medical documents. This is an IC role (Independent Contributor) requiring hands-on experience in complex surgeries.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of relevant coding experience, preferably in Surgery Coding.
  • CPC, COC or other AAPC/AHIMA coding certification.
  • Auditing experience – desired, but not essential.
  • Radiation Oncology coding/auditing experience – desired.
  • Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and internet-based programs.

This role requires expertise in Surgery coding and clinical concepts. You will work closely with our team to deliver results under pressure.

As a successful candidate, you will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
