About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications using Java.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions for diverse products with designated development practices, timelines, and quality expectations.

Candidates must be proficient in designing and developing server-side applications using Java, Spring Boot, micro-service architectures, REST, and MVC patterns.

A strong understanding of software engineering concepts, Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles is essential for this role.

The selected candidate will participate in project scoping, scheduling, tracking progress, and alerting stakeholders of issues blocking task completion.

Candidates will ensure quality through functional, unit, and performance testing, working closely with testing teams.

Maintaining accountability for code life cycle support for both internal and external consumers is critical.

Candidates should have experience using IDEs and third-party tools for debugging, unit testing, and CI/CD automation using Jenkins.

A thorough understanding of non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, security, and experience in these areas is necessary.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in Java, with experience in building cloud-based applications.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing server-side applications using Spring Boot and micro-service architectures.
  • Familiarity with software engineering concepts, Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
  • Experience in using IDEs and third-party tools for debugging, unit testing, and CI/CD automation.
  • Thorough understanding of non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, security.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of languages like Golang.
  • Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis.
  • Experience with tools like GIT, Gerrit, Gradle, Jenkins, Black Duck Hub, SNYK.

Note:

Candidates must be able to work independently and within a team, having strong interpersonal, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to think analytically and effectively communicate issues and solutions is required.

General knowledge of software development tools, methodologies, and principles is necessary.
