Senior Data Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our data team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and maintaining scalable pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and ETL tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scalable pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
  • Optimize workflows for efficient data processing
  • Build data models and schemas for analytics and reporting
  • Manage and secure SQL Server databases
  • Handle structured/unstructured datasets from diverse sources
  • Ensure alignment with HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA standards
  • Create dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense
  • Collaborate with business users to deliver actionable insights

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ideally in healthcare or medical data environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Python, SQL, PySpark, Spark SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense, and HL7, FHIR, and healthcare data privacy standards (HIPAA)
  • Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
