Job Title: Procurement Supply Chain Specialist

Job Description

The Procurement Supply Chain Specialist is a key role that supports the procurement and business functions by purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and services. The primary goal is to ensure policy and procedure adherence to maximize value and reduce risk for the business.

  • Manages and executes various procurement process activities and tasks for the organization.
  • Works closely with operations, finance, legal, and other functions to ensure the procure-to-pay process is optimized and running efficiently and effectively.
  • Drafts and captures specifications for solicitations to vendors and helps with the posting and evaluation process as required.
  • Identifies suppliers/service providers through market research for competitive bids and alternative prices, services, and products the company may want to consider to better manage the business.
  • Reviews purchase orders/requests for completeness, accuracy, and policy adherence to help the business maximize value and reduce risk within its supplier base.
  • Provides support to the business with purchase orders/requests, such as form completion, research, policy adherence, etc.
  • Conducts periodic field checks/audits, as directed and required, to ensure compliance and adherence with policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years experience performing a similar role if no Bachelor's degree, preferably for an industrial company.
