Software Engineer - Wi-Fi Development

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IEEE802.11 protocol and hands-on experience in C/C++ programming, with a focus on developing software features for Comcast's Wi-Fi gateway/extender product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test Wi-Fi software features on the RDKB platform.
  • Work with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions.
  • Provide technical assistance to other teams to troubleshoot customer Wi-Fi issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of source version control tools like git, GitHub, etc., and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of IEEE802.11 protocol.
  • Hands-on experience in C/C++ programming.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux Operating systems.
  • Experience and knowledge on IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols such as WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac/ax.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of source version control tools like git, GitHub, etc.
