Key Responsibilities:

  • The Chief Corporate Finance Strategist will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive corporate finance strategy, encompassing liquidity management, debt portfolio optimization, and relationship building with financial institutions.
  • He/She will be responsible for defining and maintaining the appropriate liquidity quantum that the business should maintain, including cash, bank facilities, and other financial instruments.

Core Work Activities:

  1. Fund raising plans and strategies for short-term, mid-term, and long-term periods in accordance with the business plans of each business vertical.
  2. Leading structured finance fund raise (Securitization / Direct Assignment) transactions, starting from lead generation, due diligence, structuring of the deal, execution, managing post-transaction compliance.
  3. Preparation of ownership of financial modeling based on historical and projected financial data of each business for fund raising and continuity of debts/funds credit facilities with various lenders.
  4. Fund raising from various financial institutions at minimum cost of funds with available primary and collateral security with each project and business.
  5. Work closely with Chairman/CEOs of each business for financial mid-term and long-term goals/project and planning for funds requirements.
  6. Develop multi-banking facilities to mitigate mid-term and long-term cash flow risk.
  7. Minimize cost of funds and borrowings.
  8. Strengthen/scale up relationships with existing lenders.
  9. Accountable for all monthly, quarterly, and yearly or time-bound banking compliances for each credit facility.
  10. Build relationship with new/proposed lenders. On-board new funding products/lenders.
  11. Create, monitor, and manage all documentation and presentation materials required for debt capital.
  12. Lead due diligence exercise for transactions. This would need coordination with internal teams.
  13. Good understanding of the banking environment, treasury products, regulatory, and liquidity reporting.
  14. Considerable knowledge of the drivers of liquidity and changing regulatory scenarios and requirements.
  15. A background in managing transitions and building strong business relationships in a changing environment.
  16. An understanding of financial business and products, which will be an advantage.
  17. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues to senior management and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Finance/Accounting: In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial statements, cash flow, financial ratios, and all cash handling procedures and policies.
  • Computer Skills: Uses advance level of computer skills with MS office, mainly Excel, MS word & power points is necessary for all data compilation, financial reporting & compliances of banks or financial institutions.
  • Business Acumen: Understands and utilizes business information to manage everyday operations and generate innovative solutions to approach team, business, and administrative challenges.

Education:

Should be from IIM/MBA
