Regulatory Compliance Specialist

This is a challenging role for an experienced professional to oversee the company's compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry regulations and be able to ensure that all submissions are accurate and timely.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure regulatory submissions are periodically uploaded in the designated portal post concurrence with stakeholders.
  • Aware of the process of submission of regulations including new business, schedules, SP submissions, complaints and financial statements. Submit these to regulators within stipulated timelines.
  • Maintain and track regulatory registers with business units for appropriate format and submission to IRDAI.
  • Coordinate with teams for register maintenance and submission.
  • Notify all communications including branch opened & closed data, directorship changes, regulatory charges to regulators.
  • Upload, track and review salespersons and SP details periodically.
  • Ensure applicable licenses are availed, procured and renewed on time.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on licensing applicability and repository maintenance.
  • Issue NOC for exited SPs and detag PAN from IRDA & Envoy along with record keeping.
  • Apply for telemarketing license as per guidelines and submit regulatory data to IRDAI.
  • Track and renew IRDAI CA, PO, ISNP, Envoy and other licenses along with PO and stakeholders.
  • Maintain regulatory checklist including IRDAI data, registers, timely submissions, grievances and more.
  • Coordinate with finance and product teams for reconciliation sign off every month.
  • Maintain and track agreements, SLAs and commission structures of insurers.
  • Track grievances from the grievance team and coordinate resolution with insurers, business, product and branch team.
  • Provide audit checklist and coordinate with functional audit team and track audit resolution for branches.
  • Provide compliance checklists to MFL's compliance team and coordinate and track AML cases.
  • Bookkeep insurance litigation cases, open cases and update regulator as needed.

4-8 years of experience in a similar domain required.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Law, Business or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
