Device Lab Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to oversee the daily operations of our device lab, ensuring seamless execution of test plans, and contributing to the development of quality software and firmware. Your expertise in consumer electronics, project management, and SQA methodology will be instrumental in driving our team's success.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all aspects of the device lab, including hardware, software, and equipment resources.
- Support spaces and ensure availability of test equipment and parts.
- Update lab infrastructure, equipment, and software configurations as needed.
- Organize and maintain stock of critical test equipment, third-party devices, and prototype devices for troubleshooting and debugging.
- Monitor and resolve incoming tickets within established timelines.
- Provide detailed data and communications in trouble tickets.
- Generate service metrics using scripts and/or documentation.
- Work with various stages of prototype devices, debug connectivity, and move devices between development stages within the lab.
- Imaging/re-imaging computers (Amazon Images, Non-Amazon Images).
- Troubleshoot hardware and software, including Linux, Android, iOS, and FireOS.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a Consumer Electronics lab environment.
- Proven project management skills, including resource planning, scheduling, reporting project status, and prioritizing tasks.
- Familiarity with SQA methodology and tools.
