Job Title: Lead Data Scientist - Gen AI

About DS/AI Competency Center:

The center focuses on leveraging data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to extract insights, build predictive models, and develop AI-powered solutions.

It utilizes exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, model deployment, integration as well as model monitoring and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Run end-to-end initiatives (business understanding, data understanding/preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment).

Analyze and interpret findings.

Draw conclusions and recommendations, including expected benefits and measuring ROI for enhancing business processes.

Support pre-sales activities and initiatives.

Requirements:

Familiarity with machine learning concepts.

Experience with machine learning (ML), especially in generative AI (LLM/LMM) with a focus on natural language processing (NLP) or multimodal models.

Business requirements gathering, transforming them into technical plans, data processing, feature engineering, model evaluation, hypothesis testing, and model deployment.

Fluency in Python, working knowledge of SQL, and vector databases.

Knowledge of specific libraries like NumPy, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangChain, and GenAI APIs (OpenAI/Gemini).

Nice to Have:

Commercial experience proven by multiple successful projects in generative AI, natural language processing, or computer vision.

General:

Good programming skills and familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.

Expertise in Azure cloud resources and Databricks.

Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization.

Strong business acumen.

Ability to come up with creative solutions to address customer problems.

Ability to lead small technical teams on projects.
