Data Scientist Role

Xiaomi is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to work on impactful projects involving large-scale data systems, data modeling, and pipeline engineering to support business intelligence, analytics, and AI use cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL.
  • Support data modeling activities for analytics and reporting use cases.
  • Cleanse, transform, and validate data using PySpark.
  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to ensure high data quality and availability.
  • Process large datasets using Hadoop ecosystem tools.
  • Maintain version-controlled scripts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and scripting.
  • Familiarity with Big Data / Hadoop ecosystem – HDFS, Hive, Spark.
  • Basic exposure to PySpark will be a strong plus.
  • Experience with tools like Jupyter Notebook, VS Code, or any modern IDE.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP/Databricks) is a bonus.
