Key Responsibilities:

The Equity Research Analyst plays a pivotal role in building and updating financial models, incorporating scenario analysis, conducting DCF, relative, SOTP, and other relevant valuation methods to develop accurate assumptions and valuations. Additionally, they screen large datasets to identify investment ideas and support portfolio managers and Chief Investment Officers in their decision-making processes.

Job Requirements:
  • Excellent financial modeling skills, including the ability to think through drivers and KPIs across various sectors
  • Strong research report-writing/presentation making skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple workflows under tight deadlines
  • Effective communication and client relationship management skills
  • Numerical abilities, including building complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions
  • Carrying out earnings sensitivity analysis and providing own valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based or industry-specific valuations

As a key member of the team, the Equity Research Analyst is responsible for discussing investment ideas and stock updates with portfolio managers and Chief Investment Officers, preparing earnings reviews, previewing conference calls, attending management meetings, and creating and updating databases.

  • Writing skills, including writing in a logical and structured manner that requires minimal rework
  • Ability to link macro/industry analysis to output
  • Building effective presentations and collecting news, summarizing, and providing analysis that adds value
