Job Title: Senior MERN Stack Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MERN Stack Developer to join our team at Gray Matrix. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex web and mobile applications using the MERN stack.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable web applications using JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, Express.js, and React.
  • Analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for commercial or end-user applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and perform thorough testing and debugging.
  • Maintain and improve existing software, and contribute to the functional design and validation of digital solutions.
  • Design and implement minor changes to existing applications, and build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs.
  • Carry out associated documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience building scalable web applications in JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js V12 or higher, Express.js, SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and React.
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
  • Proven experience developing Cloud Native applications through all phases of the software development lifecycle on AWS.
  • Strong experience and understanding of the AWS Services.
  • Proven experience of event streams, web services, microservices, and data-driven and event-driven application architectures.
  • Strong capabilities in secure development practices, test-driven development, and automated testing.
  • Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CI/CD Tools.
  • Familiarity with working with TDD in JS with the help of frameworks like Jasmine, Mocha, Chai, and Karma.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and Bitbucket.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
