Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Planning Expert to support our business at Amazon. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, the ability to deliver insightful and timely reports, and a deep understanding of customer needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis for Amazon Devices across product lines and countries. This involves working closely with stakeholders to localize the financial reporting to address country or regional level needs of our customers.

The role also involves supporting other central and regional finance teams on their financial planning process, such as loading data across systems and inspecting the output financials. Additionally, the candidate will propose process improvements towards automation and simplification of the financial reporting.

A day in the life of this role includes checking the monthly and weekly schedule, sourcing information from multiple data sources, organizing it in a neat format, and sending out accurate and timely reports that will support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the regular financial reporting for Finance and Business partners across International Devices
  • Work with stakeholders to localize the financial reporting to address country or regional level needs of our customers

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, or related field focused on analytics
  • Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
  • Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
