ZoomInfo is a fast-growing SaaS company seeking a well-rounded leader to support revenue operations and revenue recognition accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for a Manager of Revenue Accounting to support the company through various elements of transformation and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with experience in revenue recognition, financial reporting, and internal controls. They will be responsible for supporting the revenue close process, reviewing revenue contracts, and working with the sales and sales operations functions to ensure timely and accurate responses to proposed contract modifications.

The Manager, Revenue Accounting, will also be responsible for hiring, training, and developing accounting professionals, managing and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close activities, and driving improvements in workflow efficiency and controls.

They will work closely with the SOX team to support quarterly and monthly controls, and the FP&A team to assist in explaining results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606, and internal controls over financial reporting.

They will also have experience with Salesforce and SAP S/4HANA, and be able to learn and interpret new accounting guidance and apply it to different situations. The Manager, Revenue Accounting, will be a key member of the finance team and will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support revenue close procedures to ensure timely and accurate month-end closure activities for internal and external reporting in accordance with US GAAP and SOX internal control requirements.
  • Review revenue contracts, modifications, write-offs, and terminations to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and timely in accordance with ASC 606 requirements.
  • Work with the sales and sales operations functions to ensure timely responses for proposed contract modifications, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and appropriate documentation.
  • Hire, train, and develop accounting professionals in a wide variety of areas, including team building, professional development, and mentoring.
  • Manage and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close activities, including reconciliations and disclosures, primarily in relation to revenue accounting.
  • Help drive improvements in workflow efficiency, controls, and scalability of the sales function through automation.
  • Implement new products and/or new revenue streams and ensure appropriate application of revenue accounting standards under ASC 606, and other applicable standards.
  • Analyze results and provide insights to management; work closely with SOX to support quarterly and monthly controls, and FP&A to assist in explaining results.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate revenue-related audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, finance, or related functions.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in MS-Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce and SAP S/4HANA (FICO/FICA, OTC and RAR modules).
  • Experience managing multiple accounting projects and staff simultaneously.
  • Strong US GAAP, internal controls over financial reporting, and technical accounting knowledge.
  • Strong technical understanding of ASC 606 and 340; confidence in researching technical accounting literature and SEC guidance and drafting of accounting memorandums.
  • Ability to learn and interpret new accounting guidance and apply to different situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations and influence outcomes.
  • Experience building new capabilities and process optimization, working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with leadership and staff in a multicultural environment.
  • Track record of achieving results with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.

Preferred Experience:

  • Advanced finance or accounting degree.
  • CA and public accounting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, growing company where adaptability is imperative.
  • Direct experience with SaaS or other subscription-based software companies.
