Electrical Leadership Role

As an Electrical Lead Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of various projects. Key responsibilities include:

Design and Engineering

You will have extensive knowledge of calculations, such as transformer sizing, cable sizing, and earthing calculations. Additionally, you will be familiar with electrical area classification, plant layouts, and grounding principles.

Apart from this, you will have experience in specifying and data sheeting electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgears, variable frequency drives (VFDs), diesel generators (DGs), and soft starters. You will also be well-versed in motor control centers, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), DC power systems, motors, medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) cables, batteries, and chargers.

In the proposal and detailed engineering phase, you will finalize technical write-ups, data sheets, and bills of quantities (BOQs) for electrical packages, including high-voltage (HV) substations.

Project Management

You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgeted costs. This includes standardizing systems and processes, implementing risk management, and facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration among engineers.

Your work will involve tendering, handling bidder queries, and conducting technical evaluations of bids. You will also be responsible for vendor evaluation and recommendation, document reviews, and engineering deliverables.

Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Comprehensive technical expertise in all aspects related to detailed engineering.
  • Sound knowledge of computers and software like ETAP, Dialux, and Revit 3D.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with management and other stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English language.
