MEP CAD Technician Job Overview

The role of the MEP CAD Technician is to provide technical support in the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services.

Main Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM software.
• Collaborate with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings that meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Evaluate and ensure drawings comply with building regulations and company protocols.
• Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings by maintaining drawing registers and file management systems.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP/BIM software.
• Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design principles.
• Familiarity with British Standards and industry codes of practice.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage workload and adapt to changing priorities.
