Job Title: BIM Lead

The primary responsibility of the BIM Lead is to oversee the effective implementation and utilization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems within large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages and coordinates the overall use of BIM within the Units and for the Projects, ensuring accurate and timely outputs that support successful project delivery.
  • Oversees the project BIM Coordinator(s) and BIM/CAD technicians, including input to Quality Assurance and Quality Control of models and drawings.
  • Develops and implements Building Information Management systems.
  • Leads in the creation of BIM deliverables, Clash Detection Reports, BIM Quality Control Plans, BIM Design Review Procedures, Construction Sequencing (4D) and Cost Estimating (5D), Asset Management BIM Implementation (COBie), e-Specs implementation.
  • Capable of understanding BIM Client Requirements and analyzing/implementing BIM Execution Plans for BIM deliverables production.
  • Configures and maintains the project Common Data Environment to enable effective engineering design deliverable management.
  • Coordinates BIM issues with design teams to develop and reinforce standards, aiming to refine the models and BIM deliverables.
  • Leads BIM implementation, Standards, Modeling workflow methodologies during design, construction, and handover of the projects.
  • Integrates leading-edge BIM applications, including Scheduling, Cost, Asset Management, and OM programs into the BIM models.
  • Monitors and guides the model advancement and utilization process for future construction.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design, drafting, and BIM management on large-scale projects.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D BIM authoring tools.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
  • Proficient in the use of BIM360 Environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of BS 8536, PAS 1192, ISO 19650.
  • Strong knowledge of COBie implementation/delivery and 4D to 7D deliverables at LOD 300.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS SharePoint and ACONEX platforms would be an added value.
  • Experience working within multi-national environments would be beneficial.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology.
