Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Specialist with expertise in manual and automated testing to join our financial services team. The successful candidate will be working on a large-scale development project that will impact the entire organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create a centralized repository for risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for both manual and automated testing environments.
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical project managers/agile coaches, and developers to define, introduce, enforce, and own the QA process.
  • Design, implement, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks using Selenium and Java.
  • Write detailed acceptance criteria and hold development teams to those standards.
  • Perform database querying across multiple query languages such as SQL and BigQuery.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in testing environments including both manual and automation.
  • Expertise in functional, regression, UAT, exploratory, negative, and database validation techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Groovy, and Python.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and pipeline deployments.
  • Experience with Big Query, SQL, and database querying.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with ServiceNow and GPC platforms.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle principles.

Day-to-Day:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will work a 3-day onsite hybrid schedule and be responsible for starting in manual testing (functional, regression, UAT, exploratory, database validation, etc) with a goal to create a fully fleshed out QA process.
