We are seeking a highly skilled data professional to help implement an application for a large retailer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing scalable data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands on coding expertise in Python and Pyspark
  • Expertise in Telemetry, Big Data and backend engineering
  • Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in Refrigeration units, HVAC systems, Controllers and sensors
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar
  • Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Strong Big Data experience, GCP preferred
  • Streaming experience with analytics and data processing
  • Business analytics experience and working directly with business partners to implement feedback

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess strong communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
