Airfield Designer

We are seeking a skilled Airport Infrastructure Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing airfield and landside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft stands, roads, and parking facilities.

• Design & Engineering:
  • Develop detailed geometric designs for runways, taxiways, aprons, stands, airside roads, access roads, and parking layouts.
  • Prepare grading plans, cut-and-fill calculations, and earthworks balance for airfield and landside areas.
  • Produce design drawings and BoQs (Bills of Quantities) extracted from BIM models.
  • Design airfield and landside signing & marking layouts in accordance with international aviation standards.
• Simulation & Modeling:
  • Use AviPLAN for aircraft movement simulation, apron/stand clearance checks, and taxiway layout validation.
  • Conduct GSE simulations to optimize apron operations and gate service layouts.
• Codes, Standards & Compliance:
  • Apply international aviation design standards and codes directly in the design process.
  • Ensure compliance with safety areas, separation distances, obstacle clearance, and marking/signing requirements.

• Education & Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Specialized training in airport/transportation design software is an asset.
• Experience:
  • 4 plus years of experience in airport or transportation infrastructure design.
  • Proven track record in geometric design of airside and landside infrastructure.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AviPLAN, BIM, and AutoTURN.
  • Strong knowledge of international aviation design standards.
