Job Title:

Citrix Solution Design Architect

As a Citrix Solution Design Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive virtual desktop solutions for our clients. Your expertise in solution design will enable us to unlock the value of our customers' data and applications, solving their digital challenges and achieving outcomes that benefit both business and society.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Solution Design: Analyze business requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and design scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for end-to-end virtual desktop solutions.
  2. Citrix Integration: Design and integrate Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services, providing a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.
  3. Azure Virtual Desktop Configuration: Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments, ensuring proper image management, user profile management, and application delivery mechanisms.
  4. Identity and Access Management: Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls for virtual desktop environments.
  5. Network Infrastructure: Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers to ensure secure and efficient data transfer.
  6. Performance Optimization: Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience, monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth to ensure optimal performance.
  7. Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements, to protect virtual desktop environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
  8. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss, creating redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
  9. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the virtual desktop infrastructure, identifying and troubleshooting performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems to maintain a stable and reliable environment.
  10. Documentation and Collaboration: Create design documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure teams, security teams, and application owners, to ensure successful deployment and ongoing management of virtual desktop solutions.
