Senior CAD Designer – Thermoformed Railway Interior Components

We are a leading European thermoforming company seeking a highly skilled CAD designer with extensive SolidWorks expertise to develop innovative interior solutions for the railway industry.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing complex, thermorformed plastic components and possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with our European clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design high-quality interior panels for trains using SolidWorks.
  • Translate customer rough concepts into production-ready 3D and 2D designs.
  • Engineer panel designs to meet project requirements while minimizing tool modifications.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and manufacturability of designs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in CAD design for thermorformed plastic components.
  • SolidWorks expert level in surface modeling, assemblies, and tool-related adjustments.
  • Strong background in railway, automotive, or transportation interiors.
  • Knowledge of plastics material properties, tooling, and production processes.
