Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations consultant to work on part-time freelance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing D365 Finance and Operations solutions, as well as excellent business process knowledge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and customizing D365 F&O modules, working closely with technical teams to ensure proper implementation, participating in data migration, testing, and go-live support, and collaborating with clients worldwide.

  • Configure and customize D365 F&O modules (Sales, Finance, SCM, Procurement, Inventory, etc.).
  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure proper implementation of solutions.
  • Participate in data migration, testing, and go-live support.
  • Collaborate with clients based in the US, Europe, and the Middle East for project delivery.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, document functional specifications, and design scalable solutions in D365 F&O.
  • Configure and customize modules such as Finance, Procurement & Sourcing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, General Ledger, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Lead and participate in end-to-end implementation cycles, including requirement workshops, Fit-Gap analysis, testing, data migration, training, and post-go-live support.
  • Collaborate with technical consultants, developers, and integration teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure business continuity.
  • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) sessions and user training workshops.
  • Prepare project documentation including Business Process Documents, Functional Design Documents, and Training Manuals.
  • Stay updated with Microsoft D365 F&O roadmap, new features, and best practices to recommend process improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in Finance & Operations modules.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a D365 F&O (or AX) Functional Consultant.
  • Strong expertise in key modules:
  • Finance (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cash & Bank Management)
  • Supply Chain Management (Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse, Sales & Distribution)
  • Experience in Fit-Gap analysis, business process mapping, and solution design.
  • Proficiency in preparing functional documentation and test scripts.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead small to medium implementation projects.Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate / Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate.
  • Experience with global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
