Senior LFA Development Scientist Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior LFA Development Scientist to join our team.

  • Develop innovative lateral flow assays (LFAs) for diagnostic applications with a strong focus on product performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize LFA materials, conjugates, and manufacturing processes.
  • Design and execute experiments to validate LFA performance, including nanoparticle fabrication characterization, stability assessment, and process scale-up.
  • Apply expertise in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and biotechnology to troubleshoot complex LFA performance issues and improve assay sensitivity and specificity.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including experimental protocols, statistical analysis reports, and presentation materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory guidelines relevant to IVD product development.
Requirements:
  • Masters or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Analytical Chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in LFA development, preferably in the academy, IVD, or medical device industry.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with nanoparticle bioconjugation, particularly gold nanoparticles, including nanoparticle fabrication characterization and stability assessment.
  • Strong understanding of various LFA materials (nitrocellulose membranes, conjugate pads, sample pads) and their impact on assay performance.
  • Proficiency in experimental design (DoE) and statistical analysis for LFA optimization.
  • Analytical Skills: Highly analytical, logical with a strong problem-solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex scientific data clearly and concisely.
