Senior Design Engineer Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing cable solutions that meet the technical requirements of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cable solutions that meet customer requirements;
  • Analyze customer needs and provide feedback on product range;
  • Prepare inter-company (IC) cable design and offer;
  • Check CA families, CA item codes, and manufacturing instructions prepared by design engineers for costing and manufacturing;
  • Review and update raw material specifications;
  • Identify aspects requiring clarification and participate in technical communications and meetings with customers;
  • Provide technical data sheets, drawings, clarification/deviation lists, and other supporting documents as required by customers;
  • Support ATL team, NPD, DTC, and CSI activities;
  • Enquire allocation within team members and monitor the status of enquiries;
  • Ensure final item codes, special instructions, and other technical information are provided as per final approved documents;
  • Migrate final CA item codes to SAP;
  • Clear technical clearance of Sales Order in SAP for manufacturing;
  • Review and propose DTC opportunities for strategic Sales Orders;
  • Prepare technical data and manufacturing instructions for semi-finished cables to the procurement department.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in electrical engineering or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in a similar industry;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies.
