Visual Designer Job

We're hiring a Visual Designer who understands the fundamental principles of design and can apply them across their work. The ideal candidate will recognize that, although tools change, the principles remain the same.

  • The role involves turning ideas into visuals that are clear, intentional, and rooted in strong design principles.
  • Create brand guidelines and apply them across all outputs.
  • Design motion graphics, short videos, and micro-interactions using tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro.
  • Use AI as an assistant to create videos.
  • Build templates and scalable, reusable assets for other teams to use independently.
  • Design for events and print, from trade show booths to offline experience details.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, social media, advertising, and collateral.
  • Work with UX/UI designers on visual elements, mockups, and screens.
  • Create case study visuals showcasing product and engineering work.
  • Integrate GenAI into your workflow where it improves speed or clarity, without replacing the craft.

Requirements

  • A strong grasp of design process and visual fundamentals: typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy.
  • Confidence working in Figma and Illustrator, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of After Effects or Premiere Pro.
  • A portfolio demonstrating range across brands, products, and motion is a bonus; strong storytelling is essential.
  • The ability to take loose briefs or abstract ideas and turn them into clear, usable content.
  • A basic understanding of UI/UX is helpful but not required.
  • Experience creating short-form content with speed and intent; agility is key.
  • Ask the right questions, challenge vague input, and design with context in mind.
  • Care about the audience you're designing for, not just what you're designing.
  • Open to feedback and value the culture and brand you're working with.
