Job Description

Serving as a Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining and ensuring the performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems.

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, cloud migration experience and excellent interpersonal abilities. You will work independently to develop and sustain multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.

Your primary duties include:

  • Continuous engagement with assigned client base.
  • New customer transition, administration and maintenance plan.
  • Ensuring continuous communications in a consultative approach.
  • Administering and optimizing Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Managing Oracle databases on OCI.
  • Leading end-to-end cloud migration initiatives.
  • Designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Monitoring and tuning performance.
  • Automating database operations using scripting.

You will also ensure database security, compliance and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments, participate in capacity planning, cloud migration strategies and architecture reviews, provide on-call support and review operational metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Experience with ERP systems on Oracle databases.
  • Strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux and Windows environments.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required.
