Oil and Gas Specialist Job Description
- Design overall oil and gas terminal facilities, including piping layouts, valves, fittings, and equipment placement, adhering to applicable codes, regulations, standards, and best engineering practices.
- Ensure safe operation of facilities for the design life by applying knowledge of material selection, pressure and temperature ratings, corrosion resistance, and other long-term reliability and performance factors.
- Prepare work instructions for designers, collaborate with designing team members, and analyze mechanical designs to develop necessary mechanical drawings and documents.
- Interpret design codes and ensure effective performance of all piping activities, prepare piping and equipment material specifications, and review mechanical design and technical documents.
- Develop static and dynamic hydraulic models, perform stress analysis, and design supports using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Review drawings, technical documents, and calculations for code compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in gas and fuel or a related field.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues.
