The role of an Insurance Management & Taxation Specialist is to oversee all insurance-related activities and ensure compliance with taxation regulations.
- Coordinate and manage the procurement, renewal, endorsement, and claim settlement of insurance policies across the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, premiums, claims received, and related provisions.
- Foster strong relationships with insurance companies, brokers, and internal departments to ensure timely issuance of policies and claim documentation.
TDS Compliance:
- Ensure timely deduction and deposit of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) in accordance with applicable laws.
- Prepare and file TDS returns within statutory deadlines.
- Maintain proper records of challans, certificates, and reconciliations with Form 26AS.
Accounts Data Processing:
- Process day-to-day accounting transactions including invoices, payments, journal entries, and petty cash.
- Assist in preparing monthly reconciliation statements for banks, vendors, and ledgers.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- A deep understanding of insurance policies, terms, and claim procedures.
- An awareness of TDS provisions under the Income Tax Act and e-filing procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP / SAP / or other ERP tools) and MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in insurance coordination, taxation, and accounting.
