Senior API Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled API Security Specialist with extensive experience in designing and developing secure integration solutions using DataPower XI52 and XG45 Gateway appliances.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join our team and take on the challenge of ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of our APIs.
Key Responsibilities:Solution Design & Development- Design, develop, and configure services on IBM DataPower XI52 and XG45 Gateway appliances.
- Build and manage Multi-Protocol Gateways (MPGW), Web Service Proxies (WSP), and XML Firewalls (XFW) to ensure secure data exchange.
- Create REST and SOAP web services with protocol mediation and transformation to support seamless integration.
- Implement advanced security features including XML/JSON schema validation, payload inspection, and threat protection to safeguard against cyber threats.
- Configure AAA policies (LDAP, OAuth 2.0, SAML) for secure authentication and authorization to ensure only authorized access.
- Manage SSL/TLS configurations, digital certificates, keys, and cryptographic profiles to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Develop complex transformations using XSLT, XSD, WSDL, XPath, and JSON/XML conversions to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Integrate DataPower with back-end systems such as IBM MQ, IIB/ACE, or other ESBs to enable real-time data exchange.
- Configure routing, load balancing, and policy enforcement mechanisms to optimize performance and availability.
- Monitor system logs and appliance health to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
- Optimize gateway performance and ensure high availability to meet business demands.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for production systems and participate in on-call rotations as required to ensure seamless operation.
- Collaborate with architects, application teams, security engineers, and external partners to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of all configurations, policies, and deployment standards to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.
- Participate in code/configuration reviews, design discussions, and security audits to ensure best practices and compliance.
