Electrical Engineering Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned electrical engineer to lead the design and implementation of control systems for semiconductor capital equipment.

This role requires expertise in drive selection, motor sizing, and safety compliance. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with B&R I/O systems and a strong foundation in risk assessment and machine safety.

  • Design and select motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to capture and clarify technical requirements, load/motion integration for new and existing projects.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and bills of materials using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Manage and maintain product data in PLM systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems, identifying and resolving complex issues.
  • Support FAT execution, customer acceptance, and TUV or third-party safety audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices and expertise to promote growth and development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
  • Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for drives, control circuits, and industrial I/O.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic PLC programming knowledge: experience with B&R and Siemens PLCs is an added advantage.
  • Field commissioning and customer support experience.
