Backend Engineer Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to drive the development of our platform's backend services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining robust backend services in Python.

  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and high-quality backend services using Python.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven features.
  • Implement low-latency APIs for serving recommendations and intelligent results.
  • Work with vector databases to power similarity search and embeddings.
  • Deploy, monitor, and scale services in cloud environments.
  • Contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and design decisions.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines with strong testing and code quality practices.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems.
  • Proven experience in building and deploying production-ready APIs.
  • Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
  • Database expertise: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, Elasticsearch).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in remote team settings.
Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

While not required, having experience with:

  • Recommendation systems or personalization pipelines is a plus.
  • Familiarity with vector databases and embedding-based search is beneficial.
  • Frontend integration knowledge (React, Next.js, GraphQL) is a valuable asset.
  • Experience monitoring and optimizing ML-powered production systems is desirable.
