Job Description:

This is an Analyst role within the Purchase to Pay team. The primary responsibilities include maintaining and auditing accounting rules, performing accounting adjustments to balance sheet payable accounts, supporting audit in confirmation letters, and reporting of various reports/dashboards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree in Accounting with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounts payable in large shared services.

  • Accounting rule maintenance: Maintain the accounting rules in boundary systems and periodically audit them to ensure they are accurate and current.
  • Accounting and Audit support: Perform accounting adjustments to balance sheet payable accounts like GRIR, APPO etc., and ensure compliance to applicable financial controls and policies. Support Audit in confirmation letters.
  • Reporting and dashboard maintenance: Report on various reports and dashboards through MS-Excel and PowerBI, including maintenance of the BI dashboard to ensure it meets customer reporting needs.
  • Vendor maintenance and support: Support AP team with boundary system maintenance and review of queue (MV Plant queue review/admin). Initiate re-processing of stale dated cheques and ensure bank reconciliations are clean with respect to stale checks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong accounting knowledge in AP and/or GL within SAP and/or Oracle platforms.
  • Working knowledge of boundary systems that interface to ERP's is preferable.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office tools like Excel, Power BI.
  • Excellent problem-solving and written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective organization and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated, highly analytical, and self-starter.
