Our organization has a strong presence in India's media landscape, publishing prominent titles such as newspapers and periodicals from multiple centers.

As a Senior Content Editor, you will be responsible for curating engaging content focused on education, careers, innovations, student initiatives, and campus life.

You will collaborate with senior management on content strategy, team performance, and editorial planning. This includes developing fresh story ideas, conducting interviews and field reporting, and coordinating with designers and digital teams.

Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of writers and interns, ensuring quality and consistency across all content. You will also work closely with the editorial team to plan and structure content for print and web editions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management on content strategy, team performance, and editorial planning.
  • Curate and develop engaging content focused on education, careers, innovations, student initiatives, and campus life.
  • Conduct interviews and field reporting when necessary.
  • Coordinate with designers and digital teams to ensure timely and quality content delivery.
  • Lead and mentor a team of writers and interns, ensuring quality and consistency across all content.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to plan and structure content for print and web editions.
  • Assign tasks, track progress, and provide editorial feedback to team members to help them improve and grow.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • 8 – 12 years of experience in journalism, preferably with a focus on education, youth, or career-related content.
  • Strong editing, writing, and storytelling skills with impeccable grammar.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing tools and social media platforms is an added advantage.
  • A keen interest in the education system and youth affairs.
  • Proven experience in handling and leading teams is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in education journalism or content creation for student-centric platforms.
  • Exposure to multimedia content creation (video/audio/newsletters) will be a plus.
