Rural Livelihoods Strategist

At the forefront of rural development, we are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our livelihoods strategy.

This highly coveted role demands a seasoned professional with an unwavering commitment to empowering communities and driving social impact. As a key architect of our livelihoods program, you will conceptualize, pilot, and scale innovative models that address pressing rural challenges while elevating dignity of work, women's participation, and climate resilience.

The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of social enterprises, women's economic empowerment, agriculture, and allied sectors. They must be adept at crafting a comprehensive livelihoods strategy aligned with our organization's vision and the socio-economic realities of Punjab.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop sustainable income-generating opportunities for rural communities through agri-allied enterprises, skill development, women-led micro-enterprises, and green economy initiatives
• Pilot scalable models across Punjab, ensuring long-term community ownership and replicability
• Oversee end-to-end program design and planning, seamlessly integrating technology, digital literacy, and market linkages
• Establish program budgets, resources, and monitoring frameworks to ensure effective implementation

Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree in Rural Development, Management, Social Work, Agriculture, or related fields
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in livelihoods, rural development, or community enterprise building, preferably in India, specifically in Punjab/North India
• A proven track record of leading large-scale livelihood initiatives, with a strong focus on community engagement and participatory approaches
• An ability to influence stakeholders at grassroots and policy levels, driving meaningful change and impact
