Job Title: Manual QA Tester

Manual testers use real-world scenarios to verify the functionality and behavior of software applications.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute manual test cases to ensure that the application works as expected.
  • Identify and document defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla, ensuring clear reproduction steps and accurate statuses.
  • Maintain and update test artifacts—such as test plans, test cases, checklists, and test reports—to facilitate traceability and transparency.
  • Participate in Agile/scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to align testing efforts with development cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of focused manual testing experience across web and/or mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in formalizing test documentation—test plans, cases, checklists, and test reports.
  • Experience using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla with strong defect logging and tracking capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, and familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) workflows.
