Senior Python Developer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Python professional to spearhead our backend development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in Python and associated frameworks, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python.
  • Develop and implement RESTful APIs and microservices with FastAPI.
  • Collaborate with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and ClickHouse.
  • Develop and optimize Big Data pipelines for high-performance applications.
  • Maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Implement automated tests and ensure code quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required for this role:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Proficiency in FastAPI framework.
  • Strong experience with RESTful API development.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools.
  • Familiarity with Big Data concepts, pipelines, and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
  • Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like Pytest or unittest.
  • Good problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
