Senior Machine Learning Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale machine learning applications in hosted production environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development and a proven track record of successfully implementing complex AI projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Collaborate with leaders, business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs for AI-driven projects.">
  • Maintain and enhance existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development principles.">
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement effective solutions.">
  • Create detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates to ensure successful project delivery.">
  • Research and implement new AI technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance.">
  • Work closely with data scientists and product teams to build and deploy AI solutions, focusing on the technical aspects of AI deployment and associated resources.">
  • Implement and optimize Python-based ML pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment.">
  • Monitor model performance and implement strategies for bias mitigation and explainability.">
  • Write and maintain code for model training and deployment, collaborating with software engineers to integrate models into applications.">

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.">
  • 3+ years of full AI Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale machine learning applications in hosted production environments.">
  • Professional experience in design, open-source, and Agile methodologies.">

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.">
  • 5 years of full AI SDLC experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale machine learning applications.">
  • Airline Industry experience.">

  • Proficiency in Python, Databricks, Azure AI Foundry services, database frameworks, cloud-based development, web servers, web services, AI/ML frameworks, MLOps tools, DevOps toolchain, and object-oriented design techniques.">
  • Experience in governance frameworks and controls for responsible AI, knowledge of AI regulations.">
  • Post-deployment model maintenance, including observability, monitoring, and drift detection.">
  • Strong understanding of GEN AI & NLP concepts, including LLMs, tokenization, embeddings, transformers, and attention mechanisms.">
  • Familiarity with VectorDatabases and retrieval-augmented generation strategies.">
  • Data pipelines, ETL, and distributed computing frameworks.">
  • Generative-based AI solutions using Large-Language Models.">
  • Prompt Engineering, including designing and optimizing prompts for foundation models.">
  • Microsoft Office Tools expertise.">
