GRC Consultant Job Description

The role of the GRC Consultant is to spearhead the implementation of GRC systems for clients, focusing on policy compliance, security requirements governance, and risk management.

  • Implement client initiatives aimed at reducing technology risk, improving governance, and ensuring compliance with policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate business and IT risks to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop IT security standards, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and enhance client security positioning through process improvement, policy automation, and continuous evolution of capabilities.
  • Evaluate information security threats and their impact on clients' IT environment.
  • Support senior team members in analyzing requirements and designing clients' information security posture, as well as Legal, Regulatory, and Scheme security requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of work streams for clients in compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, EU GDPR, and Bahrain PDPL, and incident management disciplines.
  • Perform internal and external information security risk assessments, investigate control failures and gaps, and provide remediation guidance.
  • Stay current on best practices and technological advancements, serving as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
  • Understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, ITSM, and COBIT standards preferred.
  • Experience with risk management principles and associated methodologies.
  • Ideal candidates will possess CEH, CISSP, CISA, or CISM qualification.
  • Proven ability to make sound pragmatic decisions and judgments under tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to drive change in a collaborative way both internally and externally.
