Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the development of financial data architecture using Snowflake and dbt. This role involves designing and implementing scalable, trusted, and cost-optimized financial data solutions.
About the Role: This is a highly visible opportunity to lead the modernization of our finance data platform, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and scalability for a rapidly evolving business.
- Key Responsibilities: Achieve enterprise-grade data warehouse solutions through Snowflake architectures; own dbt data modeling for best practices in financial data transformations, lineage, and governance.
- Collaborate with Finance leaders to understand business drivers, risks, and reporting requirements; build and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
- Evaluate data integrity, auditability, and compliance with financial reporting requirements and internal controls.
Requirements: A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field; 12-15 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, with strong emphasis on financial data systems.
Desirable Skills: Strong SQL expertise; ability to design efficient queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned models; partnering with Finance teams to implement data solutions supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, and revenue accounting.
