Job Title: Transaction Monitoring Associate/Senior Associate/Team Lead

A critical component of our organization is the monitoring and management of financial transactions. This role involves working closely with various teams to ensure that all transactions are properly evaluated and monitored.

Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Review: The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing assigned alerts and documenting findings using the AML alert management system.
  • Manual Referrals: They will also review manual referrals generated by different areas of the bank, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken.
  • Risk Analysis: The candidate will conduct analysis on Low, Medium and High Risk accounts to identify potential suspicious activity.
  • Due Diligence: Enhanced due diligence research of individuals, institutions and trust through LexisNexis and other internet tools will be a key aspect of this role.
  • Interdepartmental Communication: The team lead will interact with Bank management on suspicious transactions conducted by customers, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Reporting and Analysis: The candidate will prepare and review Loan accounts, RDC (Remote Deposit Capture), Wire Transfers and Monetary Instrument reports to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential for identifying suspicious or unusual activity through transactional and customer records, external data, publicly-available information, and other information.
  • Pattern Detection: Performed detailed analyses to detect patterns, trends, anomalies and schemes in transactions and relationships across multiple businesses/products.
  • Investigative Skills: Maintain strong investigative skills; the ability to work independently, demonstrated extensive banking and Compliance knowledge.
  • Casework: Identified multiple significant cases, red flags and patterns associated with the laundering of illicit funds.
