Cost Management Specialist

This role involves overseeing the financial aspects of construction and property projects. As a Cost Management Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all costs are accurately projected, tracked, and reported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cost plans to guide project stakeholders.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost control measures and optimize resource allocation.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contractual terms to secure favorable pricing and payment arrangements.
  • Manage cash flow projections and ensure timely payment to contractors and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of costs, revenues, and expenses.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and senior management.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and threats to project budgets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in cost management, with knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, and CostX.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
