Job Overview

The Payroll Specialist II is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of payroll checks, taxes, and employee benefits.

This position requires a skilled professional to assess systems for efficiency, maintain perk payment records, generate payroll expenditure reports, and carry out routine tasks with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely review and submission of ANZ payroll data to meet payroll processing deadlines.
  • Ensure timely completion of ANZ payroll payments, including relevant deductions for employment taxes, other statutory deductions, benefits, and other items.
  • Produce monthly payroll-related reconciliations and support GL delivery to all Finance partners.
  • Assist the Head of Payroll APAC in implementing the global payroll strategy for the region, including data migration reconciliations, parallel payroll runs, and integration testing.
  • Provide a best-in-class employee experience for delivery of payroll and own the resolution of payroll-related myHR cases.
  • Build stakeholder relationships across the organization, notably Tax, Finance, and Human Resources, and work closely with the payroll vendor to ensure delivery of all target SLAs and payroll deadlines.
  • Coordinate the required administrative steps for ANZ payroll invoices and ensure timely approval and submission to Finance for payment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold knowledge of payroll of Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Demonstrate experience supporting payroll transformation projects, previous use of Workday, and associated payroll integrations.
  • Hold relevant experience of 5-7 years.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business, Finance/Accounting, or related experience or discipline.
  • Deep experience of ANZ payroll operations and compliance requirements.
