Senior Speech Therapist Job Description

The role of a Senior Speech Therapist is crucial in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders in children. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team.

This position involves evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders using standardized tools and clinical assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, therapy planning, and effective communication with parents and team members.

  • Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Administering standardized tests and evaluation tools.
  • Preparing detailed assessment reports for each child.
  • Designing individualized intervention plans and monthly goal plans.
  • Revising goals regularly based on each child's progress.

In addition to the above responsibilities, this role also includes ensuring consistent parental engagement, building trust for continued therapy participation, conducting monthly progress reviews, and maintaining comprehensive session notes and attendance sheets.

A successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a child-centric approach to therapy, and proficiency with therapy tools and online systems.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology, with 2-3 years of experience preferred but not required.
