Job Title: Director of SAP S/4HANA Initiatives

Description:

The Director of SAP S/4HANA Initiatives will oversee the delivery of strategic SAP S/4HANA projects within a pharmaceutical environment, ensuring alignment with business processes and compliance requirements. The role includes managing upgrades to RISE with SAP, integrating third-party systems, and driving adoption of new solutions across the organization.

This initiative delivers streamlined, compliant, and integrated business processes to enhance efficiency and support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage SAP S/4HANA projects from initiation through to delivery, focusing on upgrades, integrations, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, align solutions with business needs, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate system testing, pre go-live readiness, cutover, and post go-live support to ensure successful delivery with minimal business disruption.
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and drive adoption of resolutions across business and IT teams.
  • Oversee process mapping, documentation, and compliance management in line with pharmaceutical standards.
  • Support integration efforts with third-party systems and interface solutions.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to cross-functional business and technical teams.
  • Act as an investigative lead, analyzing system or process issues and driving structured solutions.
  • Ensure effective project governance, reporting, and communication with all stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector, with strong awareness of regulated environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, with experience in commercial business flows and integration projects.
  • Familiarity with RISE with SAP migrations and upgrades.
  • Experience managing third-party integration projects and interface solutions.
  • Strong background in process mapping, documentation management, and change management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to deliver training and support knowledge adoption across business and technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills, with the ability to provide structured resolutions.
  • Good to have: Experience with SAP WM or EWM implementations or support.
