Job Summary:

As a Automation Specialist at Bechtel Corporation, you will be responsible for implementing, supporting and maintaining the Construction Automation systems to assist project sites. You will configure BSAPs to meet project requirements in coordination with the GBU automation function.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Lead Automation Engineer to establish requirements for Construction Automation systems, including TEAMWorks, SETROUTE, and other applications.
  • Establish data requirements to support construction work processes.
  • Coordinate with Energy Construction Automation Function, Design Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls and other departments to establish work process, implementation, enhancement and coordination of automated data transfer between applications.
  • Configure BSAPs to meet project requirements, based on coordination with Energy GBU Automation function.
  • Review and trouble-shoot data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide ongoing administration to each BSAP.
  • Provide training and technical support to BSAP end users.


Education and Experience Requirements:

A recognized degree in engineering or scientific discipline and actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge described above. Minimum 10 years for Level 1 and 15 years for Level 2.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basics of engineering and construction methods and processes.
  • Advanced level capability with MS Excel and Access.
  • Extensive knowledge with other database platforms.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
