Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Controls Engineer to lead our team in designing, commissioning, and managing complex building automation systems (BAS) and chiller plant operations. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design: Develop detailed engineering designs and specifications for BMS, including HVAC controls, lighting controls, security systems, and other integrated systems.
  • Commissioning: Lead the commissioning process for various systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and performance requirements.
  • Project Engineering: Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Bachelors degree in Instrumentation engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics engineering, Mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in programming and configuring BAS components such as controllers, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with specific BAS platforms such as Siemens Desigo, Johnson Controls Metasys, Honeywell Niagara, Distech, etc.
  • Experience with specific chiller plant manufacturers and controls systems (e.g. Trane, Johnson Controls).
