Software Engineer - Cloud and Architecture

This role offers the opportunity to design and implement microservices using modern Java programming concepts. We collaborate on event-driven systems using Kafka and apply architectural patterns such as Choreography, Strangler, and Sidecar.

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer who can develop and deploy applications in the cloud using services like Cloud Run, GKE, and GCS. The ideal candidate will have experience with newer Java features (preferably Java 17+) and a deep understanding of Java Streams, Functional Interfaces, Lambda expressions, Supplier, Consumer, Function, and reduce operations.

  • Core Java & Functional Programming:
    • Experience with immutable data structures, pure functions, and clean code principles.
    • Proficiency in deep understanding of Java Streams, Functional Interfaces, Lambda expressions, Supplier, Consumer, Function, and reduce operations.
  • Microservices & Architecture:
    • Strong knowledge of microservices design patterns including: Choreography (Kafka-based), Strangler Pattern, and Sidecar Pattern.
    • Hands-on experience with Kafka or other message brokers in an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
  • Cloud & DevOps:
    • Hands-on experience deploying applications in the cloud (GCP or another provider).
    • Familiarity with Cloud Run, GKE, GCS, or equivalents in other clouds.
    • Understanding of deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD best practices.
