Senior Data Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to fill a key role in our team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data architectures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and build scalable real-time and batch processing workflows using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Apache Spark.
  • Perform data pre-processing, including cleaning, transformation, deduplication, normalization, encoding, and scaling to ensure high-quality input for downstream analytics.
  • Maintain cloud-based data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouses, and warehouses, following Medallion Architecture.
  • Deploy and optimize data solutions on Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data from IoT, MES, SCADA, LIMS, and ERP systems.
  • Automate data workflows using CI/CD and DevOps best practices, ensuring security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines for high availability and reliability.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Expertise in designing and implementing efficient data solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, engineering, and management principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
